This is the IR sensor that suits the Impulse 2 system. It is typically used for phase measurement and recording RPM. This sensor is used for longer-range detection from 3cm to 20cm away from the rotor.

Note:

  1. IR Sensor is affected by sunlight, so must be used indoors.
  2. 3M Silver Reflective tape can improve signal quality.
  3. Best used on shafts with diameters greater than 6mm.
